  • New clients must create an account with MINDBODY. You can do this through our website or through the MINDBODY App (free download from the App Store). You will use the MINDBODY system for all bookings, purchases and account management.

  • Our Reformer Essentials class is the best place to start if you are brand new to pilates. This is an introductory level class that focuses on the fundamental reformer exercises to build a strong foundation in your pilates practice.

  • Wear comfortable activewear that you can move easily in and grip socks for safety and hygiene. Grip socks are available to purchase at reception. Make sure you bring a water bottle and a sweat towel.

  • We have two toilet facilities that you can also use to get changed in if required. We do not have any showers facilities. Our studio has some on site parking at the back of the building (enter via Lawley Street), there is ample free street parking on Lawley Street and Flora Terrace.

  • No.

  • Please arrive 10 minutes early for your first class so you can meet your instructor, discuss any specific requirements or injuries and have a tour of the studio. Your instructor will also give you a quick run down of the reformer.

  • Upon arrive please check yourself in on the iPad located at reception. Have a chat with your instructor if you have any specific requirements, injuries or are pregnant.

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to attend classes at our studio.

  • Please ensure you have medical clearance to attend pilates classes if you are injured. Our skilled instructors are trained to modify exercises for people with specific requirements or common injuries so you are still welcome to attend classes. Make sure you listen to your body and let your instructor know if something doesn’t feel quite right.

  • The Pilates Co can accommodate pregnant clients under 13 weeks in all classes except Reformer Sweat unless you are experiencing complications in your pregnancy. Pregnant clients over 13 weeks are only permitted to attend Reformer Essentials and Reformer Reset. If you are new to reformer pilates, we highly recommend starting with private sessions and/or our Reformer Essentials classes in order to learn the modifications required for pregnancy. All pregnant clients must provide written clearance from your doctor, women’s health physio or OBGYN to participate in reformer pilates classes.

  • Yes, bookings are essential. Bookings can be made through MINDBODY or on our website.

  • If you cannot attend your class, please ensure your cancel at least 4 hours prior to the class start time. This must be done through MINDBODY. We do not accept cancellations made by phone, text, email or social media.

  • If you cancel your class more than 4 hours prior to your class start time, you will not be charged a cancellation fee and you won’t lose your session. If you cancel your class within 4 hours of your class start time, you will lose your session. Unlimited members, Founding members and Introductory Offers will be charged a $10 late cancellation fee.

  • If you fail to attend a class that you are booked in for and have not cancelled, you will lose your session and be charged a $15 no show fee.

  • We offer a waitlist system when classes are full. You can add yourself to the waitlist through MINDBODY. You will be notified via automated email and/or text message up to 60 minutes before the class start time if you have been added to the class from the waitlist. Please treat waitlists like a regular class booking as late cancellation and no show fees apply. Read our Top Tips for Using the Waitlist System here.

  • We sure do! We offer three monthly membership types. These are not visible on the MINDBODY app so you must purchase these online through the MINDBODY web browser or through our website.

  • If you wish to suspend your membership, 14 days notice must be provided in writing to info@thepilatesco.com.au

    The minimum membership suspension term is 2 weeks with a maximum hold of 3 months. If you require a suspension for medical reasons or an injury, a medical certificate must be provided. A minimum 4 weeks is required between consecutive membership suspensions.

  • If you wish to terminate your membership, 14 days notice prior to your next scheduled autopay must be provided in writing to info@thepilatesco.com.au
